C'ero Tia

perpetually optimisitc | somehow an archmage | trying to find his way home

Background

Once an Archmage and scholar of all schools of magic, this amnesiac Mioq'te now makes his home in Ul'dah, serving tea and offering companionship to those with coin. He still searches for his past, hoping to find keys to his tightly locked memories, but he is happy to make friends along the way.

Art Gallery

Art of C'ero by myself and others.

C'ero is an adult and an escort--sometimes his art is of an adult nature.

Roleplay

Who was he? What is he looking for? What is he doing in the meantime?

The Past
From A to C

In truth, C'ero is not of the C tribe. He was not born with that name. Some years after the Calamity, he was picked up by a traveling merchant, disoriented and alone except for an extremely stressed carbuncle by his side. The Elezen merchant, called Gemme, took the two of them back with him to the caravan's headquarters--the Spice Gate in Ul'dah. It is called so because it specializes in teas and spices from afar, and because it is located in a building on the Ruby Road that used to sell exclusively spices, so it still smells heavenly inside. Behind the curtains though, the Spice Gate is an elite brothel for the cream of Ul'dah, so the caravan is largely a side venture. It is a good business, run by the benevolent , no-nonsense Copper Brand, and C'ero was eventually given the opportunity to debut as a companion, a job which suits him perfectly and makes him happy.

These are as far back as his memories go.

In truth, he was born in Ala Mhigo, to the A tribe in the Peaks. There, the mountains are red, the trees are stubby, the flowers bloom brightly on the hills alongside the river, and C'ero's tribe hunted antelope and fished. His name was A'panghur Tia, and it was clear from a young age that he was just precocious with innate magical talent.

Political trouble in the area made it a difficult but obvious decision to settle on, but Panghur's tribe sent him away to the Eorzean city-states to be trained in the esteemed guilds of magic there. He spent some years first in Limsa Lominsa, fine tuning his already-budding summoning abilities, and then traveled to Gridania to learn a little control and help temper his confident swagger with a little balancing nature. He was an adolescent youth when he came to Ul'dah to learn the destructive powers of thaumaturgy, and he was a young man of fighting age when the war really heated up.

Panghur was a fully realized Archmage when the call to arms came, and he went to Carteneau with the other mages who would serve. His personal feelings toward the Garleans were fueled at this time by the news that his homeland had been invaded and occupied, news that had arrived not long after he had left. It was his chance to strike back at the armies that he had wanted to fight for over ten years.

Panghur saw the worst of the explosion when Dalamud fell. He has nightmares about it to this day, although they always fade to obscurity before he wakes, and he couldn't tell you that he's dreaming of the fall of the moon and the rage of the primal Bahamut. In the disaster, there was more collateral than most folks could ever comprehend. After fighting so hard and so well against the VIIth Imperial Legion, A'panghur was part of that collateral. Bolts of flying aether and moon debris were making mincemeat of the land on the flats, and he was struck in the head by a serious chunk of...well, any of those. It knocked him out cold and rattled his brain something awful.

When the Archmage Louisoix cast his spell on the soldiers who would become known as the Warriors of Light, A'panghur was within the radius of the spell, and even unconscious, was pulled through. But the person that he was--the vivacious, brilliantly smart mage who wanted to see his family again and help free them--he died that day. When the blonde Miqo'te with the shy smile and the poor memory was found five years later, he didn't know who he was. The Elezen who was leading the caravan named him C'ero, and took him home.

C'ero's magic lies mostly dormant in him now, almost entirely unreliable because he doesn't remember how to use it. It comes to the surface when he's in danger, like an instinctive reaction--being attacked? Fireballs. Kidnapped by pirates? Deathflare. It is extremely effective when it is at all effective, but largely, it is unreliable. Because of this, he is often considered to be a crazy-dangerous liability, but he's so sweet, and tries so hard to keep his collateral down, it usually keeps him in the good graces of his new-found friends and family.

I work primarily in watercolor and Copic markers. Until I figure out how to make a safe place for the (heaping mountain) of smut and NSFW art I've done for the FFXIV 'verse, please enjoy these cheerful pieces. Happy to show off more on request.

Roleplay: Hooks & How-To

Hooks:
~ [Saucy] C'ero works as an escort at a high-end tea house and brothel in Ul'dah. Craving a taste of the high life? Come visit him at work, sample the teas and the teases.

~ [Slice-of-life] Before work starts for the evening, C'ero is often out running errands in Ul'dah's streets. He's never met a stranger--he'll stop and talk to anyone, for anything.

~ [Academic] Are you a scholar of Magic? Do you see aether? C'ero has abilities in all schools of magic, weakened though they are, and a very knotted and distorted aether. If your character is a professional or a consultant in any of these fields, C'ero may find cause to pay a visit, and seek your advice.

~ [Casual] During the hot summer months, C'ero leaves Ul'dah to travel the world, seeking his obfuscated past wherever he goes. Encounter him on the road, or in an inn, or almost any location in game, as one traveler to another.

~ [Travel] For all the time he spends on the road, C'ero seems to attract a lot of trouble he can't always get out of. Do you play the hero, jumping in to save him from angry birds, or rampaging boars? Would you rather play the villain, and cause some mayhem for a clueless wanderer in the middle of nowhere?

~ [Heavy] Did your character fight at Carteneau? Were you there when Eorzea fought the VIIth, and the moon came down? Do you remember a blonde miqo'te mage who fought beside you?

~ [Past] Did you know the archmage A'panghur Tia? Go back in time, RP with him before he lost his memory and became C'ero Tia, or play with him in an AU. Free Ala Mhigo with him, explore the depths of magical ability, get into an arguement or a fight with him, share your ice cream and he'll be your friend forever.

NSFW:
C'ero is a sexual character, willing to be written into sexual situations. While I prefer a bit of plot and connection, I'm not against a one-shot here and there. Any of the above hooks can lead to an encounter of an adult nature, with other consenting adults. C'ero has an f-list page, if it piques your curiosity.

About the Mun
I am mid-30s, nonbinary, sex positive, and extremely distractable. I like to use Discord so as to have an easier time keeping up with our stories and RPs and general chatter. It helps me stay organized, and gives more time to let our characters get to know each other outside of what might otherwise be a very short window in game (although I enjoy in-game schenanigans too!)

C'ero was originally created years before FFXIV as a whipping boy of sorts, a character to whom I have done many dark things. I find it therapeautic (and fun!) to make bad things happen to him in a controlled environment, so I am open to and respectful of many dark and mature elements of roleplay. Please do not hesitate to ask questions if you have them--my aim is to find like-minded friends for roleplay fun.
